Rolling down the hills

Casa Americani is the ideal place for a pleasant stay in the heart of Langhe, Roero and Monferrato: this is the home to great wines such as Barolo and Barbaresco and, since 2014, one of the UNESCO World Heritage Sites. Hidden among the rocche – rocks and caves originated by a unique geological erosion phenomenon – are age-old villages, castles, manors, ancient wineries, forest and countryside walks.

The inhabitants of Montà called the house Casa Americani or House of the Americans because the building belonged to a local family who moved to America. Now guests can choose among six comfy, tastefully furnished rooms: four doubles and two suites, each named after one of the Roero rocche or rocks. The ambience of an elegant heritage house, the refined, modern décor, the attention to details and the wooden floors all contribute to making the place warm and welcoming. The strategic location in the heart of the town make you able to easily reach the main points of interest: Langhe, Monferrato and Turin. It is also possible to arrange a trekking or hike to discover Roero and its amazing hills.

A special breakfast

In the morning, guests help themselves to a rich breakfast in the former wine cellars: homemade croissants, jams and marmalades, handmade cakes, fruits, yogurt, cured meats and cheeses from Langhe and Roero.

Truffle hunt

Wines and tastings

Wine lovers can book private tours and tastings in one of the wineries of Langhe and Roero. After getting to know and tasting excellent wines, guests will have a chance to better understand the prod­­­uction process and know the famous winemakers who turned Langhe and Roero into such a famous place. 

Bikes

Our guests can book and hire bikes to explore the Roero hills and admire the views. We can organize guided tour with different routes, based on our guests’ request. Check the section "The Area" into the website to discover all the beauties around Langhe, Roero and Monferrato. 

Picnics

We can provide picnic hampers: a special menu along with everything guests might need for an original break in the Roero hills. With your lunch box you can discover our territory, drive through Langhe, Monferrato and their panoramic paths, or explore Roero and its vineyards through a guided hike.
